How to set distinct ringtones

This guide will provide steps on setting distinct ringtones for DIDs, Queues, or Internal calls.

  1. DID
  2. Queue
  3. Auto Attendant

 

1. DID

To add a specific ringtone for calls routing to a DID follow the below steps.

  1. Open the dial translation for the specific queue: NMS > Dial Planning > Dial Translation > type in DID in Find Plan > Click Refresh

 

Click SELECT for DID Table

 

  1. Type in full 10 digit DID into FIND Destination LIKE
  2. Click Refresh
  3. Click filtered Dial Translation under Destination column

 

2. Queue

To add a specific ringtone for calls routing through a Call Queue follow the below steps.

  1. Open the dial translation for the specific queue: NMS > Dial Planning > Dial Translation > filter for domain > find your queue_xxx (x = queue extension)
  2. Change Application to Call Queuing Add Header
  3. Add Alert-info: info=ringtone-X to Application Parameter (change X to the number that corresponds to the ringtone the client wants can be 1-9 some models may have less available ringtones)
  4. Click Modify

 

3. Auto Attendant

To add a specific ringtone for calls routing from one extension to another follow the below steps.
