Transferring Calls

  • Transferring to Another Extension
    • With an active phone call, hit the TRANSFER button.   This is will put the call on hold and activate another line
    • Dial the desired extension.  This creates a private call between you and the extension dial and allows you to tell the party who you are transferring.
    • Hit the TRANSFER button again, which will transfer the call directly to the dialed extension
  • Transferring to an Outside Phone Number
    • With an active phone call, hit the TRANSFER button.   This is will put the call on hold and activate another line
    • Dial 9 + desired phone number.  This creates a private call between you and the number that you dialed and allows you to tell the party who you are transferring.
    • Hit the TRANSFER button again, which will transfer the call directly to the dialed phone number
  • Transfer Direct to Voicemail
    • With an active phone call, hit #3.  You will hear “Transfer to Voicemail” follow by a dial tone.  Dial the extension you want to transfer the call to and pause until the call is transferred.  It is very important to not hit any other buttons or hang up until the call is automatically transferred.  The call will disappear from your screen automatically once transfer is complete.
