Level365 Spam and RoboCall Protection - STIR/SHAKEN

Level365 ensures call authenticity by verifying SIP Identity tokens, certificates, and signatures.

  • Calls must have the correct format, and the SIP Identity token must align with the expected information.
  • The system verifies that the SIP Identity token's signature corresponds to the originating service provider, preventing caller ID spoofing.
  • The certificate used for signing is validated to ensure it is issued by a trusted authority, confirming the legitimacy of the originating provider.

Note: This process aligns with the STIR/SHAKEN framework to mitigate spoofed calls but does not evaluate the intent or potential fraud risk of a call.

STIR Caller ID Authentication - Inbound Calls

Level365 currently has three states of verification for incoming calls:

  • Verified =[V] will be displayed before the caller ID name in the following manner:
  • Verification Failed =  <SPAM> will be displayed before the caller ID information.
  • No Verification = Caller ID name will displayed normally.

SHAKEN Caller ID Authentication - Outbound Calls

Level365 utilizes SHAKEN technology to ensure your outbound calls display accurate and trusted caller ID information. This reduces the chances of your calls being marked as spam and increases the likelihood of them being answered. With SHAKEN in place, your business calls are more likely to be verified by receiving carriers, improving the success rate of your calls.
