The Yealink T8 series IP telephones include a dedicated Emergency/Alarm Button that can be programmed to quickly call a predefined emergency number. This gives users immediate access to help during urgent situations. Once the Emergency Button is enabled, the user can quickly trigger an emergency call while still having a built-in safeguard against accidental presses.
The Emergency/Alarm Button can be configured to call:
- E911 services
- Onsite security or safety teams
- Integrated alerting devices for announcements or notifications
The Emergency Button is not active by default. To enable this feature, contact Level365 Support for assistance with setup.
How to Use the Emergency Button
- Press and hold the Emergency/Alarm button on the phone.
- A confirmation prompt will appear on the screen instructing the user to press OK.
- After OK is pressed, the phone automatically dials the assigned emergency number.
This two-step confirmation provides quick access to emergency assistance while helping prevent accidental activations.
