The Inventory page in the Level365 web app provides a central location for managing phone numbers (DIDs) and devices within a domain. Administrators can view available numbers, assign them to users, configure routing options (voicemail, call queues, auto attendants, etc.), and manage desk phones by adding MAC addresses and assigning them to extensions.
Permissions Required
You must have Office Manager, Site Manager, or Reseller permissions to complete the steps in this article. If you are unsure whether you have the necessary permissions, please contact Level365 Support before proceeding.
Phone Numbers
The Phone Numbers page displays all phone numbers (DID) associated with a domain. Each number shows its Treatment and Destination, which indicate how the number is assigned and where calls will be routed.
Assigning or Editing a Number
To assign a number, click the pencil icon next to the DID. From the Edit DID screen, the following Treatment options are available:
- Available Number - A DID without a direct assignment.
- User - Routes calls directly to a specific extension. This option can also be used for Auto Attendants and Call Queues, allowing answering rules to apply.
- Conference - Routes calls to a designated Conference Bridge.
- Call Queue - Routes calls to a specified Call Queue.
- Voicemail - Routes calls directly to a user’s voicemail.
- Auto Attendant - Routes calls to the designated Auto Attendant.
- SIP Trunk - Routes calls through a specified SIP Trunk.
- PSTN Number - Forwards calls to another DID. This may be an external off-net number (such as a mobile phone).
SMS Numbers (Texting)
The SMS Numbers page displays all SMS-enabled phone numbers associated with a domain. Each number includes its Treatment and Destination, which define how SMS messages are assigned and routed.
Assigning or Editing an SMS Number
To assign or edit an SMS-enabled number, click the pencil icon next to the DID. From the Edit DID screen:
- Select the Treatment - typically set to User.
- Enter the user name or extension number to assign SMS to that destination.
SMS must first be enabled on the phone number before assignment. In addition, an active and approved 10DLC campaign registration is required to send outbound SMS messages.
