Recording a Voicemail Greeting in the Portal

Level365 provides 3 ways to create a greeting on the system. Whether it's an Auto Attendant Greeting or Voicemail Greeting, there are multiple ways to generate greetings that meet the any organization's needs.

1. Text to Speech

Type out the greeting that should be played when someone calls and reaches the voicemail then choose a voice from the dropdown.

The greeting can be previewed before being saved. This can help determine if anything in the greeting needs to be spelled out phonetically for pronunciation, especially for names, and to determine voice that best suits the user's needs.

Once satisfied with the greeting, click Save.

2. Upload

After typing the title of the Greeting, browse the computer to upload the .mp3 or .wav file.

If the recording stored is not in a .mp3 or .wax format, Levewl365 Support has the tools to convert the format of the audio file. Reach out to Support with the audio file attachment for assistance in getting the attachment compliant to upload in the system.

3. Record

Here the title of the greeting will need to be entered.

In the field Call me at, a Device Name or 10 Digit External Number will need to be added. Once added, Click call and the system will call the device or number to walk through recording the greeting. Once done, click save in the Portal and the new greeting will be saved.

Device names can vary, but common names are:

  • [EXT] - Primary Desk Phone
  • [EXT]e - Desktop Softphone Application
  • [EXT]i or [EXT]j - Mobile Softphone Application
  • [EXT]wp - Web Phone Client

A 10 Digit External Number as an example would be someone's personal cell phone number.
